You are sitting under a tree. You close your eyes as the warm summer breeze hit your skin and the songs of the birds fill your ears.
“What a wonderful day” you thought.
The scent of flower fills the air. A perfect day for a walk or a swim. A thousand thoughts flies in and out your mind. In the midst of your thoughts, a soft voice whisper as darkness consumes your sight as you travel to the world of dreams.
“What does your heart wish to be granted?” the voice asks sweetly.
“A wish?” you asked.
“Yes a wish, to fulfill your greatest desire.” The voice answered. “Think, what do you want more than anything in the world?” the voice added.
“I want… I want to visit and explore places no one has ever been. A place that can blow my mind away. Where I can meet new people and have fun.” You answered with all your emotions poured out.
A light came in your vision as you slowly open your eyes. You realize that your tears are still fresh from your eyes. You slowly try to stand up and a wide smile print on your face as you begun to walk. Slowly, you admire your surroundings.
“A funny dream” you thought.
You saw a weird looking fruit that moves? Wait, what? Does that fruit move?
“OH MY G…AH….” You scream as you ran away on the moment you realize that it is not a fruit but a very hungry monster.
“this is not a dream. No this is not a dream. What the hell is this place?” you thought.
You ran the best as you can but your speed is no match for a 10 feet monster. You close your eyes and continue to run knowing the monster will soon catch up and it will be the end of your life. You felt something grab your waist.
“This is it. So much for adventure I asked.” You thought. “Is this the end?” you added.
“Are you going to continue praying or something?” A voice asked.
You slowly open your eyes and to your surprise your still alive. You check yourself for any injuries.
“Hey! aren’t you going to say thank you to the person who just saved your life.” A voice said.
You lift your head and saw two girls. One has wings and a very playful smirk on her face while sitting on the 3rd branch of a very huge tree about 100ft high. The other one has a tail and ears like a cat and it looks like she does not even care about anything around her as she continues to polish her dagger with a white cloth. She’s leaning on the trunk while sitting on 2nd branch of the tree.
“So? Anything to say?” the girl with wing asked.
“I’m sorry and thank you for saving my life fairy creature” you said to the winged girl.
“Hey! don’t thank me, I’m not the one who helped you. And I’m not a fairy, I’m Perry a Pathion from the land Pathious. And my friend here is Mimi a Kureign from the City of Whittenfur.” Perry said. The cat girl named Mimi put the white cloth to her pocket and gave me a cold stare as she glances to my way.
“I’m sorry and thank you Mimi for saving my life. My name is Ace” you said.
“Don’t mention it. By the way, what are you? Are you a spy?” the cat asked when she magically glitch from one place to another and her friend just smile playfully as she watch the events to unfold while sitting peacefully on the branch.
“I’m a human being and I’m not a spy.” you said. “I don’t know anything about you or this world. I don’t even know what the hell is going on here.” you added.
“We don’t know anything about you or where you’re from.” The cat said.
“Mimi how about we take him to the 3 elders? I think he can be Identified that way right?” Perry suggested. You’re still confused about everything. “Who are these people and why does they look odd?” you ask yourself. But then when take a closer look around, you notice that everything is very strange the trees are very tall the insects, the birds, and every animal are different from the creatures in Earth.
“Hey weird looking being… or whatever” Perry said. “We’re leaving and if you are not really from here, you should come along or else you’ll die.
Meanwhile you and Perry are walking together and Mimi is just few steps ahead of you. You asked Perry. “Uhmm… excuse me but what is this place?”
“This place is called the Forest of Sylvania and this is known for the danger it brings especially at night. And up ahead about 6.2 mile is the City of Sylvania. A city that lies between Pathion and Whittenfur.” Perry answered. “If you’re not from here? Where are y…”
Without finishing her question Perry moved swiftly to grab your hand and push you to the bush as she dodge the arrow.
“Mimi look out, Trolls!” Perry shouted as Mimi dodge the stab of a little troll.
They both fight well but they are greatly outnumbered to 1:10. Then a sudden shake on the ground the rocks moved up and start to take shape into a sharp knife. With the help of the rocks Perry and Mimi easily take the enemy down.
“Come out Raven I can sense your presence you know. And Mimi can clearly see you.” Perry said out loud.
Then two men walks out from the bushes of the forest. One has a blue hair who look like a dog while the other has a black hair and a horn of a ram on the side of his head.
“I should have known that nothing passes you Perry. And Mimi, how are you?” the black haired guy asked.
“What does the dog doing here Raven?” Mimi asked the black haired guy. “So, his name is Raven.” You thought.
“Glad to see you too Mimi” the doggie guy said.
“Ah… Douglas is here because I am here my dear. And by the way, what is this creature you brought with you? Are you taking him to be a slave or something?” Raven asked as if you’re not listening.
“Oh that thing?” Mimi asked and Raven give her a nod. “Perry and I will take him to the 3 elders to be identified.” Mimi added.
“Well if that’s the case, Douglas and I would be happy to company you along the way.” Perry and Mimi look at each other and give Raven a nod. “We should hurry. The sun is setting soon and the forest will be much more dangerous at night.” Raven said “Mimi can you teleport us to the Delimnia Inn?” Raven asked Mimi.
“Well, I can but I won’t if the dog will tag along.” Mimi replied. Douglas took a step and tried to reach Mimi but Raven stop him.
“Alright let’s start walking.” Perry said.
You all started walking. Perry walk beside you. A few step ahead is Mimi and behind are Raven and Douglas.
After few hours of walk you reach the city entrance. A familiar voice starts to whisper as your sight filled with darkness.
“Does your dream came true?” a soft voice asked. “It’s her the voice who brought me in this world.” You thought.
Then an image pop in your mind. You can almost grasp what it is but…. The image fade away as you open your eyes.
“Ace… ace wake up.” Perry said while taping your face. “Are you ok?” She added.
“Yeah I’m fine. Where am I?” You ask.
“You’re in an inn. Who are you anyway? And by the judge of your looks, you’re not from this world. Your smell is new.” said the guy who lean on the door of the room. You look confused. You forgot his name but you know that he is with the guy with the horn.
You look around and saw 5 different faces including Perry and Mimi. The guy with the horn is reading a book near the window and sitting in front of him is a girl but you’re not familiar who she is. And lastly, the guy who look like a dog, and was leaning on the door of the room.
“My name is Ace and yeah I am not from this world. I don’t know why I’m here. But I loved this place the people here ar…” Without finishing your sentence.
“Bullshit!” the guy with the horn said while he slams the book on the table. “This place isn’t all paradise and stuff. You need to return wherever you came from. This world will soon be consumed with darkness and we don’t have time for your sweet fantasy.” The guy with the horn added.
Before the guy with the horn continue his tantrum, an old guy enters the room and all of them bow down making you a bit anxious what to do since you are lying on the bed.
“Elder Clove what a surprise for you to visit this place. The five of us will be at the Tree of Knowledge tomorrow. So, why would you come to dreadful place as this?” The guy with the horn asked as he sit down to his old chair. Everyone else return to their position except for the doggy guy who stand beside the guy with the horn.
“I was just passing by and I heard a group of people who are chosen of their race has come and gather in one place.” The Elder walk towards you and look at you before continuing. “As well as a strange creature out of nowhere. It intrigues me. I wanted to check him first.” Then the elder walk out of the room and said the last words which gives an intense atmosphere before he truly leaves the room. And his last words are…
“Never trust anyone beside yourselves for there is one who serves the Dark Lord. And that person is just waiting for his chance to attack when everyone is on their weakest.”
No one dare to break the silence. Everyone’s giving an intense aura that makes it harder to swallow or breath. Fear that a single sound would worsen the situation given.
The guy with the horn stands up and his movement bring everyone’s eyes on him. “We leave before the sun rise tomorrow morning.” He looked at you with disgust then he continues “And since the elder has his eyes on the strange creature, we might as well bring him. Isn’t that your plan Perry?” asked the guy with the horn to Perry.
You looked at the guy with the horn and you’re a little angry. “Why does this guy always order everyone around?” you asked yourself.
“Yes, that was the original plan Raven. And what’s your point?” Perry replied.
“Oh yeah his name is Raven” You recalled. “And the dog was…. What was his name again?” Your trying to remember the name of the blue dog who follow him around. And in fact your happy that Perry talkback to that Raven guy.
“Then I guess you know what the elder means right? No one should be weak in times of battle. I put you and Mimi responsible for that creature’s life.” With those words Raven leave the room.
“I’m sorry how Raven acted. You know what happened right? Please try to understand the way he act.” The doggy guy said. “My name is Douglas and nice to meet you, weird creature.” Then he quickly left the room.
“Hey Ugly being.” Mimi called you. And the moment you look at her way, she throws a dagger that almost cut through your skull. Gladly, it didn’t and just buried on the headboard of the bed just an inch away from your head. Breathlessly, you slowly move your head where the dagger was buried. Perry burst in laughter some tears even fell from her eyes.
“Listen up, you should know how to use that thing or else the next time I threw a dagger it will definitely buried on the middle of your forehead.” Then Mimi walk out of the room leaving Perry and the girl with the golden hair.
“Does she just tried to kill me?” You asked Perry who still laughs on what happened.
“I’m sorry Ace, I can’t help it. That is how that suborn cat shows her care for a person. She really hates to see death of anyone she cares in front of her very eyes. And since you’re our responsibility, she does care for you.
“So Ace, you’re not normal are you?” the girl with the golden hair asked. “My name is Goldie an Aquarian from the City of Oceania. And nice to meet you. Ace.” With those words Goldie left the room. Leaving Perry and I on the room.
“Forgive the rudeness those guys did. We have been friends for as long as I can remember but we never had a single common personality. I guess you can try and use the dagger Mimi gave you.” She looks at the dagger planted on the head board of your bed. “Use it to defend yourself and have a good night rest. As Raven said we leave before the sun even rise. Bye see you tomorrow.”
After Perry left the room you tried to take the dagger buried on the headboard of your bed but it was buried too deep. You never thought that a small body like Mimi can actually have this strength. After several tries you actually pulled the dagger out.
Unable to sleep, you divert all of your strength and energy to practice the dagger Mimi gave you. To your surprise you are able to use the dagger freely as if the you and the dagger are one. Every move that you make sync perfectly to the dagger. Your reflexes are perfect as well.
Almost time for departure and you didn’t have enough sleep. So, you lack energy to travel. Walking like a zombie you went to the dining hall where everyone is ready to leave.
“Hey weird creature. What happened to you?” Raven asked. Perfectly, you’re not on the mood to let this insult through.
“Would you stop calling me weird creature. I’ve got a name and its Ace.” You said grumpily.
“Al-right.” Raven look at you and then shift his sight to everyone else in the room. “Listen up everyone. The journey to the Tree of Knowledge is very dangerous. We need to work together so all differences must be put aside.” He looked at Douglas and Mimi to emphasize what he means. “Since all magic are prohibited on 50 km radius from the tree, all enemies or obstacles we will face would be determined on man to man combat. Always be alert. The physical abilities such as Douglas’ sense of smell, Mimi’s Sharp eye sight and My sense of presence and as well as Perry’s will be functional. Everyone let us work together.” Raven look at Mimi and asked. “Mimi can you take us 50 km from the Tree of Knowledge?” Mimi Smirk and answered “Without a sweat”
“Everyone ready?” asked Mimi. All of you nod and a moment later you’re standing in the middle of the forest.
“The Tree is just up ahead.” Mimi stated and everyone move to follow Mimi’s lead.
After walking for 3 hours the sun is already up you’re guess it’s about 6 in the morning. Everyone agrees to take 15 minutes’ break.
“Hey Perry, if you guys can’t use magic in 50km radius, how does the elders travel from one place to the other?” you asked.
“The elders have a special portal that only the people they permit can use. So, they travel easily and safely because some of their movements can’t be detected by any of the clans.” Perry answered.
“Okay, and where are we right now?” you asked. You look around and saw Goldie walking towards you, she stops beside Perry to sit down on the log.
“This is located on the North East of Whittenfur and about 80 miles to Cognoc a City between Whittenfur and Gothenburg.” Perry replied.
“The elder mentioned that all of you are chosen of each race. What does that mean?” you asked.
“We posses unique abilities.” Goldie replied. “Ace let me ask you something. How did you manage to come to our world?” Goldie asked. You look at Perry who looked back at you curiously.
“A voice whisper to me and asked me for anything I want, the next thing I know, I am here.” Your replied.
Then Raven called everyone for an announcement.
“Listen up, the tree is just 43 km up ahead. So far we haven’t encounter any enemies but it doesn’t mean the we would drop our guard. Stay sharp. Perry we have to run so can you carry Ace and travel through the air?” Raven asked. Perry nod and grab your waist then you hear a flap a few second later your about 3 feet off the ground. “Let’s move.” Raven said then disappear.
“Hey Perry, did they teleport or something?” you asked. But Perry laugh and answered “No, they already break through any physical boundaries. It’s called windwalk. So let’s catch up?”
You didn’t even have a chance to answer before you travel like the speed of sound. You feel like your face burn and thousand needle pricked through your skin. Your eyes are already dry and you feel that it can fall from your sockets any second. Your body feels weak as you lost your consciousness.
The next thing you know you feel a cold touch. When you opened your eyes you saw Goldie using her magic.
“I see you regain your consciousness.” Goldie said while transferring the liquid from your left foot to your right. You felt your bones crashing to one another as if they were bricks that were piled up one by one to form a bridge. This feeling cause you to scream in pain. And this hell almost never end as Goldie reconstruct your broken bones one by one. From your legs to your hips, arms, ribs and collar bones. You were screaming but not a single sound left your mouth. Weak and tired the treatment soon ends. You feel like it lasted for centuries but the ugly truth it only lasted for 30 minutes.
“Don’t move. A single movement can destroy everything and since you’re beyond weak, you might actually die if I strengthen your bones right away.” Goldie said. Your throat was very dry because of your intense screaming and gasping for air. You immediately fell asleep.
The next day, you wake up and the pain you felt yesterday was gone. The first person you saw was Perry who was sitting beside your bed. She’s smiling and at the same time you saw in her eyes that she felt bad on what happened to you. Soon her smile fade as her eyes begin to water and tears fall from her eyes. You were alarmed on what happened. So, you quickly sit down and wipe the tears from her eyes. You smiled and asked her.
“Are you okay?” She nods and replied “you’re the one who is hurt because of me. I should be the one asking if you’re alright.” She wipes her tears and look at you. You blush a little when you realize how cute she is up close. You look away so she wouldn’t notice how red your face become.
“Uhmm… Its fine really I’m okay as you can see.” Perry move closer to you and touch your forehead and made your blush even worst.
“Oh no I think you have a fever.” You notice that your position is really awkward but you’re too afraid to tell Perry how bad it looks. Her face are just few inches from yours and as you look at her you notice her golden eyes, nose and lips. Meanwhile she’s busy checking your fever and worst has come when Douglas and Goldie came in and saw both of you in that position.
“Sorry we didn’t mean to interrupt something.” Goldie said. Suddenly, Perry jump off and composed herself. She also gives off a very awkward laugh while rubbing the back of her head.“Maybe we should Return after few minutes, what can you say Gold? Should we leave?” Douglas said.
“NO!” Perry and I said at the same time. While Douglas and Goldie look at each other trying to hold back their laughter.
“I mean no, I’m about to leave and Gold can you look at Ace, I think he has a fever.” Then Perry quickly left the room.
Goldie smiles “So how does it feel breaking 12 of your bones?” She asked while sitting on the chair beside me and Douglas stand beside her.
“Amazing it’s like dying and being reborn.” You said with a bit humor. Goldie smile and whisper something on Douglas which made him leave the room.
“What was that about?” You asked.
“Nothing concern you for now but don’t worry, you’ll know soon enough. Beside let’s talk about your fever. Shall we?” She said while she’s walking towards the window and opened the curtains.
“No, let’s talk about something else. Like why did 12 of my bone turn to dust without ripping my skin?”
She returned to her seat and answer your question. “Are you really sure you don’t want to talk about your fever?” a small smirk form on her face as she teases you but you respond with silence. “Well, your bones break because your body isn’t used to travel as fast as the sound. And for your information don’t misinterpret Perry’s actions. She just felt bad on what happened that’s why she was taking care of you.” She explained.
“How did we arrive here and how come you can use your magic here but not outside?” you ask curiously.
“You arrive 5 minutes later after the 4 of us arrive on the bottom of the tree. But at the moment you arrive you were like a mash potato and worse Perry didn’t even notice that your already half dead. Gladly, the first elder came and took you in with the power of telekinesis. I immediately healed you since the 5 of us acquired the permission to use our ability within the tree.” She explained. “And to ease your mind the 3 elders are the wisest people in the world. They are siblings, Elder Cynthia the oldest and the wisest among the three. She can read, control and rewrite your mind and memories by looking in her eyes. She can also use telekinesis. The second is Elder Casper, the Strongest among the three. He can kill just by using one finger. And lastly, Elder Clove the one that can temporally remove magic on your body.” After giving further explanation Douglas enter the room.
“Ace it’s time for you to meet the 3 Elders and I believe Goldie already told you so much about them.” Then we all walk out the door ready to meet the 3 elders.
On the big hall, you saw 3 thrones with 3 people sitting on them.
“They must be the three elders.” You thought. Upon arriving 12 feet away from them, the six of you bow together.
“Rise chosen ones.” Said the Elder Lady which must be Cynthia. “Let me answer the question on your minds with a story that happened hundreds of years before you are born.” Chosen one? This phrase made you curious whether the reason you’re here has actually have greater reason than just making your dreams come true. “An earthquake occur it shake the entire world for hours, most the buildings were destroyed and thousands of lives where taken. But one place withstands the earthquake and that is the holy temple of Pharshes the Goddess of Healing and Mercy on the underwater cave in Oceania. Immediately the three of us was called for something was written on the cave walls. The words used was ancient and it takes 43 hours for us to decipher them. The text contains a prophecy that would change the world. A prophecy why you are born. And the prophecy said

“Those words are not gibberish Ace.” Your surprise how the Elder was able to read your mind and you remember that indeed the elder was able to do a lot with her power. “But a warning of a great catastrophe that will soon arrive.” She added and then the Elder on her right stand up as a servant handed him a scroll. He unrolls the scroll and face its content to you. You saw orbs one was black and the other was white. “The dark orb lies in the hidden trail in the forgotten kingdom but somehow it has resurfaced and it grants false and wicked power to the one who took it out. And now, people whose heart was touched by its magic become its minion.” The elder explained
“Elder Casper how do the people touched by the orb purified?” Douglas asked.
“They can only be purified if their heart beat with honesty and forgiveness.” Elder Casper answered.
“All of you should go to the hidden forest to first pass the test in the mirror of truth before you face the enemy. For you to be aware of your dark desire and able to fight and control it.” Elder Clove said. Then all of you floats through the air and the next thing you know, you’re standing in the middle of the forest. Before you can even react Perry push you aside and swiftly dodge the arrow.
“I guess they’ve been waiting for us. Be careful and don’t die.” Raven said then he ran toward the enemy. All of you scatter to defend yourselves as one after another attack you. Everyone is doing their best to win this battle and save this world. You saw Raven made a hole on the ground where the enemy gather. All of them fall on the very huge pit then, he covers the hole burying all of them alive. Perry made a huge cyclone that blow the enemy to the sky. She also made a sharp wind form that looks like a scythe and shoot them to the enemies. Douglas Made the sound waves irregular and made the enemy’s head burst. Amazingly, he was able to control it that none of you were harmed. Goldie collects the humid and turn them to a foot-long needle. Then, shoot them to the enemy afar. Mimi uses her ability to blink from one place to the other. Using her double dagger, she kills the enemy before they even realize. You also did try to fight. A minion tries to stab your chest but you dodge it and leaving an opening on his back. You took this opportunity to stab the enemy. Another one came directly after you kill the first one. It tries to cut both of your legs using an axe but you jump over to avoid being cut and landed behind the minion you stab him on the back. Still unable to believe that you can fight with your own two feet.
After hours of fighting, the hoard after hoard and the enemy still comes. You see everyone’s panting and gasping for air but still continue to fight. Then a girl who look like Douglas came out of nowhere that made all fighting stop. You saw Mimi’s tear slowly fell from her eyes. She tries to reach and walk forward to the girl but Douglas stop her. You look around and saw everyone is crying even Raven. “It can’t be.” The words that came out from their mouth. Then a guy magically blinks beside the girl and whisper something on the girl, then they disappear without a trace. Mimi blink to the place where the girl stands a moment ago. Before they can even recover from what they saw, a dark sorcerer attack Mimi with a dark magical ball.
